[Resolved] Usability: Eye strain due to "Matrix"-esque background image throughout the site

This image

is used as a background in various places around the site. While I appreciate the idea, in practice it makes reading black text a bit of an eye-straining task.

For instance, notice the background behind the description on my profile page.

I like what the "Recent Forum Posts" section does: use this image as the background, but put foreground text in a white < div > rather than a transparent one to give the text solid contrast and keep readability at its best.

Use of these backgrounds was reduced across the site and now only appear in a couple places. Remains to be seen whether they'll survive the redesign. Marking as resolved for now.
