Juicelutions continues. We've got camera shake on moose impact, better player character animations, grass rustling as the moose charges, and trees that shake when hit by the moose.

It's still not all that playable yet, but I've got some basic SFX and the main loop for the Karen attack waves.
The vector field ensures that every Karen in your neighborhood knows how to find your deck to file a complaint with the Architechtural Review Board
I'm doing a "pivot." Now you chop down trees and your neighbors' houses so you can keep building your sprawling deck.
This build is reasonably playable. I had a run that lasted one hour last night. Definitely read the instructions! I'm working on some UX improvements to make the game more understandable. Enjoy the demo :-).

Defend the deck with Turrets in Rogue Deck Builder. Watch me make the game, live on Twitch M-F 11 A.M. EST. https://www.twitch.tv/bendixso
At some point, you will build your deck right up to your neighbor's back yard, and they won't take too kindly to it.
Here are some new levels in the game's winter theme, complete with a nice snowy particle effect.
Just put up a new playtest build. It includes the world map, new movement system, better pacing, and particle effects among other things.

@bvisness Level select transitions, as requested. In keeping with the handmade ethos, this kind of thing is soooo much easier to do when you can just reach into the state and don't have to go through all of these complicated UI frameworks.

Trying out an autumn theme for Mooselutions. I constructed the color palette and actually did the art for the trees myself. The game has a theming switch to easily swap different seasonal themes.
I'm going to release the moose game on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2287140/Mooselutions/?beta=1
It's the start of an actual game loop for the Roguelike Deckbuilder concept. I've got posthole placement, joists, deck paneling, and turrets that fire projectiles along a vector pointing at the mouse.
I am making a roguelike deckbuilder where the deck building has some deckbuilding elements.
I made the moose game go vroooms. It's mostly about using instancing and batching draw calls and not ending the draw call until you need to switch textures
I designed an inventory system for a roguelike crafting game where the inventory is the world. Each chest contains a procedurally generated world you can grab things out of. You can even escape dangerous situations by placing yourself inside of your own inventory 😂
What game is complete without a menu featuring cute scampering moose?

I gave a version of this talk in person today at a local college. There's a new game demo for my 2D puzzler, Mooselutions, in the middle of it. Enjoy 🦬 .

Mooselutions is a 2D Sokoban-style game where you anger moose and get them to charge at you.
Happy trees. The Mooselutions level editor just knows what layer to put the trees on. No fuss. Plenty of Muss!
Adding some new ideas to Mooselutions. Now you can push blocks in front of the moose to stop them from charging at you.
Finally threw together a little menu. I can't believe it's actually HARDER to do this with HTML/CSS
Responded to a ton of player feedback. Added a grid overlay so you can see your selection. Made the intro puzzles much easier. Also did a few aesthetic things because it's fun to make things pretty. 🙂
You can play the demo on Mac/PC
Mooselutions is a game where you wander through a moose infested forest and solve puzzles by angering moose and getting them to chase after you.

Engine is mostly handmade. It uses Web Assembly and SDL 2.0 for the web platform layer. I did it for the Low Rez Jam.
Most of the new graphics are in! Now I need to fix the game's linearity problems
