Lysa has evolved a lot over the years, and it has turned out to be a minimalist debugger library + frontend that works for my style of programming. The goal is to implement the minimum amount of features to have a simple and fast debugger to help get work done.
It will not try to compete with the major debuggers, nor will it be full-featured, but will start out as barebones as possible. Once that is done, maybe there will be some room to innovate, given some feedback from a community of programmers that want a debugger like this.
Simplicity, performance, and low overhead are the three core tenets of this project.
