&fubar is officially a bar 🥳
It lists all the visible windows in all the screens, draws and sticks to the screen borders.
It does fall short of actually raising a window and of... all the other features 😅
Shame to be so close to actually switching windows without getting to that, but time is up for me!

The Problemo

I have personally a hard time using a macOS desktop environment, with its trend for "glass interface"
but not a lot of transparency for what's running and the state of the system. The windows go into unpredictable
places in Mission Control, the Dock takes so much space that it's always hidden and Cmd+Tab switches
entire applications rather than individual windows. Where minimized windows go, is still a mystery... the otherverse?

The Dream

Picture a strip at the bottom of the screen, showing everything that's open, in a consistent order, no gaps,
no transparency, always visible, no bouncy wavy animations, maybe some system stats.
Pragmatic, information dense, happy Fitts' law paradise.
FOSS, ofc!

The Jam

I'm joining the Handmade Essentials Jam for the first time, hype! hi 👋
I've worked professionally as a programmer doing digital content creation tools and game engines for 10 years
and I've had a Macintosh since I was age 0 until university, but no experience with the Apple development ecosystem.
