After years of working on my game, the demo is finally out on Steam!

Satelital is a rule-discovery puzzle game built entirely from scratch by me. It runs on a custom C++ engine with a custom renderer, UI system, level editor, asset pipeline and build system.

The game is an open-world space puzzle game where you explore six celestial bodies and figure out their rules. There are over 120 handcrafted puzzles, all built with tools I made specifically for the game.

Technically, it uses a fixed orthographic camera, prerendered 3D assets, fully dynamic lighting and shadows, and 3D SDFs for some animations.

The demo takes less than an hour to complete. If you play it, I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a review on Steam. It helps a lot!

I made a custom Ableton plugin to batch-export into WAV files all the SFX for my game. I wanted to try a lot of different sounds, but manually exporting every note was becoming really tedious. So in the end I got to use this small script to automate the process.

I just added localization! Game is almost done, I'm thinking about announcing the release date as soon as I get the trailer finished. Feels strange to have a game done after 6 years and now is just waiting until I have enough marketing done

There is still a lot of work to make this music nice but I think is starting to get into something!

Basically music is the only thing left to finish the game

I've been improving the behaviour of the water at the coast, the video is fast forwarded, at normal speed looks less weird.

I really can't wait to finish this game and finally show it.

I'm very bad at promoting it because I've been just busy with making the engine work.

It's being quite a ride, it's taking so long to finish this.

Hello! I got excited by the progress I'm making lately!

This is a video that shows a few of the tools I developed to manage the shader of the atmosphere for planets in my game

It's a game engine made from scratch, I worked on this for the last 4 years

I think I will be able to release it in 1 year I hope!
