Throat health issues (Similar to caseys)

Hi there,

i noticed that casey talked about cough issues since a while now and the doctors on his side has no clue what is wrong with casey.

Well i have similar issues with my throut as well, very painful deep feeling - especially when i talk and have extremly dry coughs since several weeks now (9 to be exact) and our doctors in germany have still no clue what is wrong with me.
I tried antibiotics, several lozenges and sprays - no change whatsoever :-(

Due to the fact, that i dont have any fever they dont assume its corona - so i wasn´t tested yet but in two weeks i am going to the hospital to see some specialist for throat issues - maybe i get some clarity then.

What about you guys? Are any of you have throat issues as well or am i alone with this?

I never had theses symptoms, but I did had a problem doctors took more than a year to solve.

I don't know if this problem is specific to France but just in case :
Many doctors don't like talking that much and prefer to try to deduce your illness from visible symptoms only, and this way stay blissfully unaware of any environmental issues.

If you haven't already you may have to shoehorn them anything that you could find suspicious. What you eat, what you drink and how much, if you are in contact to dust, if your apartment is next to a garage or a heavily used road, if there are pigeons often paying you a visit at your window and sometime leaving little gifts. How much time near air-conditioning, and is it cleaned regularly ?

You may have to try older doctors who were exposed to more unusual cases. You may have to try younger doctors, more up to date with the state of the art. Don't hesitate to take a second advice when in doubt, health is no joke.

I have had a stress cough all of my life. If I concentrate on something furiously, I cough. If I talk too much I cough. If I laugh too much I cough. Nothing wrong with me, its just the way I was born. It is annoying though.

I sleep with an open mouth for whatever reason, and usually wake up with a very dry throat, which often leads to coughing. Usually it gets better after I eat breakfast, but sometimes I can go whole days or weeks with a sore throat. You get used to it, and its not so bad.

I've experienced the same thing with doctors as albatros is describing though (separately from the throat-thing). For non-acute issues each doctor I've seen has given me different recommendations, until I finally got a recommendation which helped resolve the problem.
